Ø The warranty is not limited to repairing or replacing defective products during the warranty period.
Ø If a product is found to be defective within 3 months from the date of shipment from UPCOM and the product is correctly installed and used (called Defect on Arrival (DOA)), a quick replacement service will be provided. In this case, the customer should contact UPCOM technical support for verification first.
Ø After 3 months from the date of shipment from UPCOM, the customer must have a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number before sending the defective product to UPCOM for repair service.
Ø Regarding the firmware configuration of the product and the storage device contained in the products, the settings and data in the products should be backed up before sending for repair. We are not responsible for any settings or data loss.
Ø The warranty period is 90 days from the date of repair or replacement, or within the remaining time of the original warranty period. The longer one is used here.
UPCOM will not accept products that are returned without a valid service request or items that are not UPCOM products. Such products will be shipped back at the Customer’s own risk and expense. No refunds or exchanges will be offered.
This warranty does not cover:
Ø Products found to be defective after the warranty period has expired.
Ø Defects caused by ordinary wear and tear.
Ø The defect is due to any accidental damage, improper use, modification, adaptation, negligence of the purchaser or representative, incorrect storage or installation in a toxic or acidic, fluid and/or unstable environment, and doesn’t comply with the specifications of external electrical failures.
Ø The defects caused by the use of the product or accessories are not consistent with the user manual published by UPCOM.
Ø Defects caused by any service, maintenance or repair performed by a third part other than UPCOM, the service provider or third party authorized by UPCOM.
Ø Defects caused by natural disasters, including but not limited to lightning, floods, earthquakes, fires, etc.
Ø The serial number of the product has been changed and/or damaged.
Ø Warranty for customized and ODM products is stipulated in the contract and is not included in this policy.
After the customer agrees to the product inspection, UPCOM will inspect the product, send a quotation for the total repair cost, and wait for the customer’s approval.
If the customer does not want UPCOM’s repair service, UPCOM will either return the defective product to the customer or scrap the product locally according to the customer’s decision. If the product exceeds the warranty period, the customer will bear the shipping costs.
This warranty replaces any other express or implied, written or oral warranty. Whether it is based on warranty, contract, negligence, product liability or other reasons, UPCOM’s liability for manufacturing, selling or providing the product and its use shall not exceed the original cost of the product. UPCOM is not responsible for any accidental or indirect losses, including but not limited to loss of profits or use, and damages caused by the manufacture, sale or supply of products.
